A certified public accountant, I started my career in 1971 in the Philippines, as an auditor in SGV, the biggest auditing firm in the country. Accounting might be boring to a lot of people, but I enjoy working with numbers. I got married in 1979 to a fellow CPA, Elrey, a college classmate who was always at the top of our class of ’71. We both graduated magna cum laude in the University of the East in Manila. In the CPA board examinations though, he finished first, and I placed eighth.
In 1980, to join my relatives in the US and needing a change at that time, we moved to California. In the next 10 years, I worked as general accounting manager in a reinsurance firm and in a manufacturing firm in Los Angeles. In that decade, we were blessed with three beautiful girls, and I was very busy mixing my career and raising a family.
With a more exciting job offer in 1990, we moved to Rohnert Park in Sonoma County, about an hour north of San Francisco. My husband managed a real estate development there, and I joined a savings bank as Controller and Treasurer. Rohnert Park is beautiful and we loved living there. But in 1994, my husband was asked to set up a commercial bank in the Philippines, which challenge my husband was really excited about. We then moved back to the Philippines.
From August 1994 to November 2007, I was First Vice-President for Finance of Filinvest Land, one of the top real estate companies in the Philippines. When Elrey and I turned 55 though in 2006, we made a decision to retire from employment and do something else. He retired from the bank of which he was president in December 2006, and he opened his own businesses. I stayed on until November 2007.
November 2007 was a turning point in my life. Wow!!! I didn’t have to wake up early; I was on permanent vacation!!! I told my friends and associates that I didn’t want to work anymore; I just wanted to relax. But at the age of 56, I still wanted to be useful to society. I just wanted to do something different, with less stress and more time for my family, relatives and friends, and for myself. So, I kept asking myself: "What do you want to do with your life?"
Sometime in July 2007, my friend Tata McNamee in Los Angeles emailed me about her experience with a new product called Lifewave, and invited me to a presentation in Manila. She said that Dr. Peng Chan from Lifewave was coming to Manila to introduce Lifewave to the Philippines. For a couple of years, I had been suffering from a shoulder tendonitis problem, and I had been taking pain killers and going to therapy sessions with very little success. I then got really curious about the product, and decided to attend the presentation. During the
presentation, Dr. Peng patched my shoulder and the pain went away in minutes. I was really amazed!!!
It took us a few months however to join Lifewave. My husband joined first, and I joined in November 2007. We went to LA right after my retirement; and I hooked up with Tata and talked about Lifewave. I had just received my products then, and Tata asked me to attend the Lifewave Christmas party in La Jolla. I’m so glad that I did! It was that day when the La Jolla waves were really high, and people were out surfing. That day really opened my eyes to the wonders of the patches, and the huge business potential of the products.
After the party, I started using all the products, talked to relatives and friends about Lifewave and sent them samples. When they came back to me with very good results and they got interested, I got really excited. I hosted my first presentation during the Xmas holidays in LA, and my relatives got excited as well. That’s when my group started.
When I came back to the Philippines in January, my friends were asking me why I looked so much younger (my skin was better with fewer lines), and I was so energized. And in the past two months, I’ve lost about 12 lbs. with the SP6. My friends then joined in and started showing very good results with the way they look, and the way they feel. We then used ourselves as the models, in spreading the word. My friends called their friends, who called on their friends, and our organization grew, and hopefully my group will continue to grow even stronger.
Lifewave has contributed in a huge way in making me a better and happier person. I’m busy helping my husband in his financial management consultancy business, but I’m focused on sharing my Lifewave experience with as many people as I can. I feel so much younger, with lots and lots of energy, more productive, more social, and more responsive to other people’s needs. I’ve redeveloped old friendships and relationships, going back to friends from childhood, classmates in high school and college, and business associates. Whenever I help people with their pain with the Icewave patches, I feel so happy that I was able to help. I sample out the patches to people even if I know they can’t afford the patches or don’t have the time or money to join the business.
I thank God, first of all, for giving me this opportunity to join the Lifewave family, to Tata and Richie McNamee for introducing me to Lifewave, Dr. Peng Chan for patching me and for all the support to my group, to Roy Surjono and Chuck Michel for helping me with presentations, all my relatives and friends who have joined my group, with special mention to my leaders (Lellet Tiempo, Malu DyBuncio, Malu Alferez and Linda Tan), Vic Sianghio and his family, Mia Tioseco and other Lifewave leaders in the Philippines, Henry Young and Seno, Beth Santiago and other Filipino leaders in LA, the Lifewave Customer Service group for bearing with me in all my endless inquiries, and of course, Mr. David Schmidt for bringing these wonderful products to this world!!!
I offer this award to my husband Elrey and my daughters Kristina, Katherine, and Kara for all the support, and for sharing my passionate interest and enthusiasm for Lifewave.
More power to LIFEWAVE and to all of us who are fortunate to be members of this family!!!!
